All prestressed concrete beams are produced within a strictly controlled factory environment to achieve consistent quality, accurate tolerances, and a durable finish. Each unit is individually labelled with its manufacture date, size, and weight, and is produced to meet current British and European regulatory standards.
Beams are available in 150mm and 225mm depths, with lengths manufactured in 50mm increments. When combined with 100mm concrete infill blocks, the system can be configured to suit a wide range of span and load requirements. All orders are supplied with floor design layouts.
Beam and block flooring provides a practical, cost-efficient solution that can be installed quickly in most weather conditions and does not require specialist trades. Southcrete can also offer a complete supply-and-fit service, delivered by our experienced installation teams.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Beam and block flooring is a robust and cost-effective construction method commonly used for ground floors in residential and commercial buildings. It consists of precast concrete beams laid across a foundation, with concrete blocks (also known as infill blocks) placed between them to create a solid floor surface. Once installed, the floor is topped with a layer of concrete screed to provide a smooth, durable finish.
